In an effort to create more opportunities for our athletes, Special Olympics Arizona began inclusion of eSports…the fastest growing market in the world. Â After instilling programs in high schools across the state, we found many individuals were interested in how they can use the games they love to raise money for Special Olympics Arizona. Thus…the first Annual SPECIAL eLYMPICS.
We have partnered with several amazing sponsors who are offering us the prize money, so we can encourage athletes, gamers, and parents from all over the world to compete to win some serious cash, while supporting Special Olympics Arizona and building the eSports market.
TOURNAMENT INFO
Timing & Structure
SPECIAL eLYMPICS (Special Olympics Arizona) will host three (3) qualifying tournaments as listed above. The TOP five (5) winners of each age group qualifier (top 6 for Qualifier #3) will receive entry into the FINALS to be held on November 6, 2022 at 3:30pm where they will compete for a chance to win $5,000 in cash prizes and be named the 2022 SPECIAL eLYMPICS ROCKET LEAGUE CHAMPION!
In addition, teams in Qualifier #1 and Qualifier #2 that finish 6th – 10th place will receive FREE ENTRY into the next Qualifier.
STRUCTURE
When you sign up to play, you must have a teammate or request one. Â This tournament is 2v2 format. Â Each gamer must pay the $20 entry fee ($40 for the team) in order to be eligible to compete for a chance to win up to $5,000 in prizes being given away by our generous sponsors.
