MEET THE SOAZ 2022 USA SUMMER GAMES CHEER TEAM

ATHLETES RECEIVED A SURPRISE ANNOUNCEMENT THAT THEY MADE THE 2022 TEAM AND WILL COMPETE IN ORLANDO NEXT JUNE

Special Olympics Arizona Cheer athletes were recently given quite the surprise at the SOAZ headquarters.  Athletes competing to make the Special Olympics USA Games next summer in Orlando were called back to the office for what they thought was a second round of tryouts.

What they found out though, is that it was a surprise meeting to announce that all of them made the team and got a rousing ovation from staff and family on hand.

A total of 12 athletes are a part of the team – six Special Olympics Arizona athletes and six Unified Partners.

The Special Olympics USA Games will take place June 5-12, 2022, in Orlando, Florida.
