Becoming a coach is easy! You don’t need prior experience – we provide the necessary training and resources. All you need is a compassionate nature, a desire to help others and a lot of enthusiasm. Special Olympics Arizona volunteer coaches come from all walks of life, including former Olympians, college students, young professionals and a host of family members. Currently there is a need for coaches in just about every area of Arizona — the more coaches we have, the more athletes we can help!
Being a Special Olympics coach can be one of the most rewarding experiences of a lifetime – for both you and the athletes you mentor. Special Olympics coaches often find that the personal rewards received are equal to or even outweigh the benefits they offer the athletes.
